Rich, exciting flavors make this grilled chicken an instant favorite. Leave out the chili peppers for a mild yet flavorful version. Our TrueFire Gourmet® Cedar Planks keep the chicken tender for a juicy, asian inspired meal.
30 minutes – 4 hours
1 bunch fresh cilantro
3 cloves garlic, peeled
3 small chili peppers, seeded and chopped
1 teaspoon ground turmeric
1 teaspoon curry powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1 pinch salt
3 tablespoons fish sauce or soy sauce
3 pounds chicken breast or pieces
Cut cilantro roots off at the stem, and mince thoroughly.Set aside a few leaves for garnish.
With a blender or food processor, combine all ingredients (except the chicken of course) and blend until smooth.
Place chicken in a large shallow dish and rub with the cilantro paste. Cover, and marinate in the refrigerator 1/2 – 4 hours.
Arrange chicken on plank and grill on medium heat until juices run clear.
